How hypnotherapy can help with anxiety

Anxiety is your mind trying to protect you. Through hypnotherapy, we work with your subconscious mind to:

My approach is solution-focused, which means we don’t dwell on problems, we focus on where you want to be and how to get you there. Rather than going over past trauma in detail, we work gently and effectively to:

  • create positive change in the present 
  • build new, healthier patterns of thinking 
  • help your mind move towards calm, clarity, and confidence 


If needed, I can also use the Rewind Technique, an effective way to help your mind process difficult experiences without having to relive them.

How the process works

The first step is to book a free, no-obligation consultation. This can be by telephone, in person or online via Zoom or Facetime if you prefer. The consultation usually lasts between 20-30 minutes.

This is an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have and also talk about what you’re experiencing and see if hypnotherapy feels right for you. There’s no pressure, just a friendly, relaxed conversation to give you all the answers you need to decide if hypnosis is the path for you and I can outline my plan for you and how many sessions you are likely to need.

Your First Session

Sessions are 50 minutes long, during your first session we’ll:

  • explore what’s been going on for you 
  • understand how anxiety is showing up 
  • begin to shift your focus towards the outcome you want 
  • Finish with a relaxation hypnosis, preparing you for your future hypnotherapy sessions.


At the end of the session you’ll be given a relaxation audio to listen to at home.

Ongoing Sessions

In the sessions that follow, we’ll:

  • build on your progress 
  • strengthen positive thinking patterns through hypnosis 
  • work on any specific issues you'd like help with
  • help your mind naturally move towards calm and balance. 


Every session will be forming new neural pathways in the brain for permanent change.

While some people notice a difference quickly, anxiety patterns often benefit from a short course of sessions.

I offer a package of 4 sessions, designed to:

  • create consistent progress 
  • reinforce positive changes
