Feel Calmer and in Control of Your Thoughts and Emotions

Do you find yourself worrying about things that haven't happened yet?

Perhaps your mind never seems to switch off, you overthink everything, or you constantly feel like you're waiting for something to go wrong.

Anxiety can affect so many areas of life. It can make it difficult to relax, sleep, concentrate or simply enjoy the moment you're in.

You may look as though you're coping perfectly well on the outside, while inside your mind is busy going over conversations, imagining worst-case scenarios or worrying about what might happen next.

You don't have to put up with feeling this way.

Through personalised hypnotherapy, I can help you reduce unhelpful though patterns and build greater confidence in your ability to cope with stressful situations and life in general.

When your mind just won't switch off

Anxiety isn't always obvious. Sometimes it's the constant feeling of having too much on your mind. Sometimes it's worrying about what other people think. Sometimes it's feeling overwhelmed by everyday situations that you know shouldn't feel so difficult. You might recognise some of these:

  • Constant worrying or overthinking
  • Always expecting something to go wrong
  • Finding it difficult to switch off
  • Racing or intrusive thoughts
  • Feeling overwhelmed or mentally exhausted
  • Worrying about what other people think
  • Lack of confidence in yourself or your decisions
  • Finding it difficult to relax
  • Feeling tense or on edge
  • Avoiding situations because they make you anxious
  • Worrying about things that are outside your control
  • Difficulty switching off at bedtime

Perhaps you've even reached the point where you think, "I just want my brain to be quiet for a while." If that sounds familiar, you're certainly not alone.

You don't have to dig into your past

My approach to hypnotherapy is to focus on where you are now and where you want to be, rather than spending time analysing everything that has happened in the past. We focus on the thoughts, habits and patterns that are affecting you today and work towards creating something different.

Your sessions are completely personalised to you. We'll talk about what you're experiencing, what you'd like to change and how you'd like to feel instead.

You might want to feel calmer in situations that currently make you anxious.

You might want to stop overthinking. You may want to feel more confident in yourself and your decisions. Or perhaps you simply want to feel more able to handle life's ups and downs without your mind immediately going into overdrive.

That's what we'll work towards.

How Can Hypnotherapy Help Anxiety?

Hypnotherapy works with the subconscious patterns that can influence the way we think, feel and respond. During hypnosis, you're deeply relaxed while remaining aware and in control. This relaxed state gives us access to your subconscious mind without the conscious mind getting involved. Here you become more receptive to positive suggestions and new ways of thinking. Your sessions may focus on things such as:

Calming an overactive mind
Learning to step away from repetitive thoughts and give your mind the opportunity to slow down.

Reducing overthinking
Developing healthier thought patterns so you don't automatically get caught up in "what if?" scenarios.

Building confidence
Helping you feel more secure in yourself and your ability to cope with situations that previously felt overwhelming.

Changing your response to stress
Learning to respond more calmly rather than automatically going into worry or panic.

Letting go of unhelpful thought patterns
Recognising thoughts that aren't serving you and developing more supportive ways of thinking.

Creating a greater sense of calm
Giving yourself permission to relax and feel more present in your everyday life.

What Happens During Hypnotherapy Sessions?

Your first session gives us time to talk about what's happening for you and what you'd like to change. There's no pressure to talk about anything you're uncomfortable discussing. We'll identify the areas you'd most like help with and create a personalised approach around your goals.

The hypnosis itself is a gentle, deeply relaxing experience. You remain in control and aware throughout.

As your sessions progress, we'll build on the changes you're making and work towards helping you feel calmer, more confident and better able to manage your thoughts and emotions. You'll also receive personal hypnosis recordings to listen to between sessions, giving you the opportunity to reinforce the work we do together in the comfort of your own home.

The 4-Week Hypnotherapy Programme

If anxiety is affecting several areas of your life, I recommend the 4-week hypnotherapy programme.

Having four sessions gives us time to work on different aspects of what you're experiencing rather than trying to address everything in one appointment.

For example, we might work on:

Week 1: Understanding your goals and beginning to create a greater sense of calm.

Week 2: Working with overthinking, worry and unhelpful thought patterns.

Week 3: Building confidence and changing the way you respond to situations that trigger anxiety.

Week 4: Reinforcing your progress and helping you move forward with greater confidence and a calmer mindset.

Your programme is tailored to you. We can adapt the focus of each session depending on what you need at the time.

Your 4-week programme includes:

  • 4 personalised hypnotherapy sessions
  • 4 personal hypnosis recordings
  • Support throughout your programme
  • A personalised approach based on your individual goals
  • In-person sessions in Torquay or online via Zoom

4-Week Programme: £240

Payment is preferably made by direct bank transfer. If you'd like to spread the cost, weekly instalments can be made in advance of each session — just ask when booking and I'll be happy to arrange this.

Single Sessions: £75

If you'd prefer to start with a single session, that's absolutely fine too.
